Only one hour drive away from upper austria's capital city Linz is Gmunden, a small traditional town, located right next to a beautiful lake. The lake Traunsee is known for it's cool and clear water. There is a beach where you can go for a swim for free. 

Today, we take the cable car up the 984 meter high Grünberg.

Entering the "Baumwipfelpfad", a trail above the trees, you can enjoy the beatiful view of Gmunden, it's lake and the surrounding mountainous area.

After enjoying the view from the top of the 39 meter high tower, we continue on a short trail through the forest. In about an hour of walking, you'll reach the secluded mountain lake "Laudachsee". It is surrounded by the mountains Traunstein, Hohe Scharte and Katzenstein. Enjoy the view while having a coffee at the nearby inn.
